The Data Analytics team at Blind focuses on delivering key insights to both business and product teams all across the company. We work with various tools and data sources to tell stories and make recommendations. Our partners rely on us to provide the insights & product knowledge to help them make the right decisions to keep our company & community growing!
 
We are looking for a seasoned data leader to help us better understand the complex community, user behaviors, and monetization opportunities for Blind. This person will help lead our personalization efforts for the community and job matching capabilities for our jobs marketplace products. There is close partnership with the engineering team to continue investing in our data infrastructure, A/B testing capabilities, and advancing our reporting & self-service tools. This position reports to the COO.
 
This is a remote position with a Pacific time zone work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Be a part of the leadership team and help guide strategic planning
  • Manage a global team of 10 data analysts and ML data scientists, including managers
  • Drive the evolution of multiple products powered by data science and ML
  • Work closely with various engineering teams to advance our data platform (e.g. Redshift, Sagemaker, Airflow)
  • Create systems and processes for metrics reporting and understanding (e.g. Tableau, Superset, etc)
  • Maintain a high bar in terms of analytical rigor and teeing up key business decisions

Basic qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience with large scale consumer products with millions of users and experience evolving products powered by data science or machine learning
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline (Data Science, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience building, managing, and growing a data science team 
  • Experience building out data infrastructure and A/B testing platforms
  • Proficiency with both B2C and B2B products, key metrics, and growth levers
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple way and influence all audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, innovative company

Blind's minimum cash compensation salary range for this role is $200,000.00 to $260,000.00 USD per year. This salary range includes compensation for multiple job levels. Your job level will be based on an assessment of your interview performance and experience, which you can always ask about to understand in more detail. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other factors. Salary is just one component of our total rewards package for employees at Blind.
