As Analysts at Riot, we build analyses that help Rioters to make difficult decisions. We are part of an interdisciplinary team that works with Rioters from other disciplines (i.e. - designers, artists, engineers, producers) to conduct studies and analyses that will inform the features, systems, and experiences of our products.
As Insight Analyst on Wild Rift, you will report into the Product Lead for Wild Rift. Your focus will be working with producers and leadership to build an understanding of Wild Rift’s business and product performance. You will translate observable trends into narratives and guidance for the product team. You will build and maintain reports for Riot and partner developers to design the right systems for global players. It will be up to you to make sure decision makers and designers have the information they need to develop the best possible game for players.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with producers to generate insights and frameworks that will inform the product strategy
- Design and interpret KPIs to measure and optimise product performance across global audiences
- Provide strategic insights to test teams’ assumptions and inform their actions
- Build and maintain reporting for both broad business health and granular feature performance
- Collect, transform, and analyze complex data sets to more deeply understand our players and their behaviors
- Share your results with partners in clear, illustrative presentations and interactive dashboards
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in business intelligence, game data analytics, systems analysis, or related fields
- Proficiency in SQL, can maintain complex spreadsheets, and experience with Tableau or other data visualisation tools
- Capable of developing and testing hypotheses and reporting on outcomes
- Experience analysing large datasets and communicating recommendations to leaders and developers
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced degrees in Economics, Behavioural Economics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Management Information Systems, a related discipline, or comparable work experiences
- Can take broad questions and refine them into tightly-defined data requirements
- Experience with mobile gaming or online gaming. Familiarity with MOBA games a plus
