Front End Developer Angular (AI/ML)

Location

Madrid, Spain (at least one day in office) with flexibility to accommodate meetings with US colleagues (within the US Eastern time zone) for effective collaboration.

The Team

At Celonis, we have a variety of different frontend challenges ranging from building forms, components, and pages for our products, reusable components, component libraries, design systems, micro frontend architectures, and highly optimized visualizations that render big data, frontend SDKs, etc. Your team will be part of the broader Madrid engineering organization.

This role is in partnership with the AI and Machine Learning team based in New York and California (CeloAI). You and your team will be working closely and primarily with the CeloAI team to develop innovative frontend user experiences and product features to bring the intelligent platform capabilities provided by the CeloAI team to Celonis customers.

The Role

As a Senior Software Engineer at Celonis, your responsibility is to find the best technical solutions by applying frontend technologies to deliver a unique product, Celonis EMS.

Our tech stack is: Angular 11, Typescript 3, HTML5 & SASS. We develop using SOLID principles and focusing on performance.

The work you’ll do

• Create highly performant and scalable UI components
• Build or extend our existing widgets and components to surface AI/ML capabilities from the backend CeloAI team
• Write clean, understandable, and testable code
• Work on complex Angular topics and architectures
• Develop features to enhance other developer’s working environment
• Optimize app performance and maintain the existing resources
• Contribute and extend our Core architecture with Angular
• Drive performance optimisation as we render high amounts of data
• Play an active role in product discussions, influencing the roadmap and user experience.

The qualifications you need

• University degree in computer science or equivalent knowledge
• +6 yrs of experience in Frontend Development (Senior developers)
• Proven experience with Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS 
• Passion to develop UX focused web apps
• Familiarity with data structures and algorithms, profiling and optimisation
• Experience in writing and setting up tests (unit and integration tests) as well as with JS module bundlers such as Webpack
• Solid understanding how to setup CI/CD pipelines will be a plus
• Good communication skills (English is a must!)
• Experience working in the fields of AI, Machine Learning, Process Mining is a plus, but not necessarily, you will get a lot of opportunities to learn!
