Role Responsibilities
- Solve complex business problems using your unique combination of critical thinking, attention to detail, and technical prowess.
- Act as one of the primary analysts on a project, helping your team understand what the client really needs, and then put your skills to work to bring it to life.
- Through an iterative process of data prep, modeling, and visualization, unearth trends and patterns that our customers never could.
- Build end-to-end project pipelines and create visualizations to tell your data’s story, working each day to improve the core of our clients’ business.
- Understand the client business problem and choose the appropriate analytical framework for solving the problem.
- Prepare and clean data for analysis, using tools like R or Postgres with techniques such as SQL, data mining, statistical outlier detection, and other techniques.
- Utilize theoretical knowledge of analytics for developing our internal Data Science powered Supply Chain Analytics and other analytical software solutions.
- Analyze data and build predictive or optimization models with the data to assist in decision making, using Python, R, Spark, Hadoop, and Alteryx as well as techniques like supervised machine learning, unsupervised machine learning, and mathematical optimization.
- Prepare reports for clients and potential customers that explain data cleaning and technical work enabling customer understanding of project scope.
- Support sales efforts by providing technical expertise.
- Support marketing efforts by writing technical white papers, blogs and point-of-view documents.
Role Requirements
- Masters degree in Data Science/Analytics/Computer Science/Statistics
- Knowledge of applied statistics and advanced machine learning techniques
- Familiarity with Python or R
- Eagerness to both teach & learn from your coworkers
- Strong communication skills
- Previous experience in a related role preferred
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI preferred
- Experience working with data via SQL and/or other ETL tools preferred
