Data Scientist Summer Intern

Location: Wrocław

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Data Scientist Summer Intern to join our team. As a Data Scientist intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world data challenges and gain hands-on experience in data analysis and statistical modeling. This internship will provide you with valuable exposure to the field of data science and the opportunity to contribute to our ongoing data-driven projects.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis and Exploration: Assist in the collection, cleaning, and preparation of diverse data sets for analysis. Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and insights.
• Statistical Modeling: Apply statistical techniques to develop predictive models and actionable insights. Collaborate with the data science team to develop and refine models for various business problems
• Data Visualization: Create visually appealing and informative data visualizations to communicate findings and insights effectively to stakeholders. Utilize tools like SQL, Python and Looker for data visualization.
• Collaborative Problem Solving: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements and help them leverage data science techniques to solve business problems. Contribute to brainstorming sessions and provide innovative ideas for data-driven solutions.

Job Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Candidates with a strong focus on data science or analytics will be preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for working with data and extracting insights. Ability to approach complex problems in a structured and logical manner.
• Experience in SQL and Python programming languages for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling. Familiarity with libraries like NumPy, Pandas is desirable.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Matplotlib, or ggplot is a plus.
• Understanding of statistical concepts and experience with statistical modeling techniques. Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and frameworks is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively present complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Prior experience with data science projects or internships is a plus, but not required.

Internship Duration:

This is a summer internship position with a duration of three months and possibility to extend the contract. The exact start and end dates will be communicated upon selection.
