  • Leverage your expertise with Python, SQL, statistical analysis, data visualization, predictive modeling, and process improvement to optimize marketing, segmenting, and targeting of consumer journeys across various NBCUniversal touchpoints
  • Embody a robust data science mindset with data collection, feature selection, cleansing, analysis, hypothesis testing, and model building to ensure high quality performance of delivered products and services supporting timely and critical business decisions
  • Build advanced analytics dashboards, deep-dive analyses, data extracts, and tools (ad hoc or automated) to address short-term and long-term business needs
  • Partner closely with business, product owners, engineering, and data science teams to implement models and analytical insights that have meaningful ROIs for business
  • Play a leading role in the prototype and selection of ML and Data Science platforms, collaborating with engineering and data science teams in discovery and implementation
  • Mentor and guide engineering and data science peers in building a comprehensive set of tools, knowledge, and standards that can be democratized across the organization

Qualifications

  • Excellent understanding of applied statistics and machine learning algorithms, experience in methodologies for regression, classification, clustering, and causality
  • 5+ years of data science experience, with demonstrated proficiency using SQL and Python in building analytical solutions
  • 3+ years of experience building production-ready Data Science solutions and dashboards to solve business problems, with particular preference for the media industry
  • Possess a strong grasp of applying and translating inferential, predictive, and prescriptive models to solve analytical business needs and gain implementation buy-in
  • Experience with NLP and Deep Learning frameworks that enrich data science efficacy
  • Intimate familiarity with data science workflows on the cloud (i.e., AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, Airflow, or related cloud-based big-data storage and orchestration technologies
  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree – or equivalence with experience – in Computer Science, Data/Decision Science, Data Engineering, Quantitative Economics, or Mathematics

Desired Skills:

  • Direct experience working with media/entertainment and ad sales datasets and platforms is a plus – Nielsen, comScore, FreeWheel, mParticle, and Salesforce
  • Ability to report and demonstrate model-development progress to stakeholders by visualizing results and communicating plans, benchmarks, and improvements
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and best practices, including CI/CD principles
