About the Role
As a Senior Data Scientist you will own the company’s data science strategy and help to further acquire, understand, segment, predict and retain our players. You will work closely with the marketing, product and tech teams to provide the structure and tools to elevate their work and goals. As a senior member of the team, you are expected to work autonomously, always prioritizing your goals based on effort and impact. You will be asked to partake in iterating over the company’s data strategy as well as its day to day operations. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will have the opportunity to influence the direction of our data initiatives and help us grow the team to make you further grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and proactively engage on the development and implementation of advanced data models and algorithms to analyze large datasets and extract actionable insights to harness business opportunities
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including the marketing, tech, product and ad monetization teams to understand their KPIs and modeling requirements, drive implementation and support their data-driven decision making.
  • Building and maintaining predictive models for revenue/profit forecasting, player behavior, game balancing… across several dimensions for both Android and iOS, ensuring they remain accurate and up-to-date.
  • Developing predictions for our new games based on portfolio patterns to allow for fast scale up and opportunities seizing
  • Developing clear and concise data visualizations and reports for various stakeholders to effectively communicate key findings and recommendations.
  • Mentoring and providing guidance to junior data scientists, helping them grow professionally and contribute to the success of the team.
  • Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and gaming to continuously improve our analytics capabilities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data science in mobile gaming (Andoird & iOS), with a proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale data modeling systems
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Datastudio, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience with machine learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning and deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.).
  • Ability to understand business needs across multiple teams and execute to achieve their targets
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data storage and processing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of translating complex data into actionable insights.
  • A passion for gaming and a deep understanding of the gaming industry and player behavior.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Eligible to work in Barcelona
  • Professional-level English
