What you'll do

We are looking for a talented and motivated software engineer with strong experience in backend development and data science. The successful candidate will join our dynamic and agile team to help design, build, and improve internal and customer facing dashboards, and the tools and processes to analyze our data. You will join the product team dedicated to understanding data and providing business insights to our customers and internal business team.

• Design, build and operate our admin dashboard and various internal dashboard and tools for business insights together with a fullstack development team.
• Analyze data and provide insights to internal stakeholders.
• Participate in the development cycle of our software product and our Agile development process.
• Collaborate closely with our product management and technical architect to define feature specifications.
• Write robust, maintainable code in Go, Python and Ruby, in line with our standards and best practices.

Requirements

Desired skills and experience:

• Previous experience as a backend developer and working in data analysis or data science role
• Passion for data and for extracting useful insights from data.
• Experience with Go and Ruby or the desire to learn these languages.
• Good knowledge of Python and libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, etc.
• Familiarity with statistics and math.
• Experience with DevOps practices such as CI/CD.
• An appreciation for and understanding of unit and integration testing.
• A proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
• Proficient in English.

Bonus points:

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A solid understanding of security concepts and secure coding practices.
• Prior experience in the cybersecurity or authentication technology fields.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and enjoy performing in a team environment.
• Familiarity with big data tools (e.g., Spark).
• Familiarity with cloud services such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Interest or experience in working with web technologies.
• Understanding of data security measures and privacy regulations in industries such as finance or healthcare.
