We are looking for a talented and proven Director of Business Intelligence to join our growing team. This is an exciting role for someone who can drive business intelligence strategy, implementation, and execution within a high growth organization. Ideal candidates will possess prior knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) Tools, data mining experience, and experience presenting data to internal customers and external clients.

What will you provide?

  • Ensure data collection and analytics are set-up to scale
  • Increase the availability of meaningful information to improve decision making effectiveness, pace and scale for our clients
  • Deliver novel and compelling insights that help Aspirion and our clients improve performance
  • Develop internal and client-facing interactive BI solutions using modern data and analytics tool sets (Power BI, Azure Data Factory)
  • Develop metrics that help Aspirion better understand its business operations. Analyze metrics to identify trends and opportunities
  • Maintain a BI Roadmap that prioritizes critical BI initiatives in support of Aspirion’s business units
  • Lead, supervise, and develop a team of BI engineers that can scale to meet Aspirion’s growing need for BI solutions
  • Advocate for and institute BI best practices across the organization, creating a cadre of analytical leaders that are contributing at a high level and growing, to allow the organization to scale capacity and capabilities when necessary. Simply put, teach others how to use BI to improve performance.
  • Mine large volumes of data and draw insightful conclusions from information that ultimately supports organizational strategy and decision-making; identify trends in the business and unearth the “why” behind using data.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify BI needs; lead requirement definition and delivery of reports, dashboards, and other analytical tools; owns all aspects of production and quality control.
  • Interview end users to determine requirements for data, reports, analyses, metadata, training, service levels, data quality and performance.
  • Maintain external client portal solution
  • Refine underlying data architecture to support and enable rapid development/deployment of BI solutions at scale
  • Perform other related duties as required.

This role is performed fully remote with 15% travel anticipated.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of developing Business Intelligence initiatives using the Microsoft stack (Power BI, SQL Server, ADF) - Microsoft Certification is a plus
  • In-depth understanding of application security layer models in Power BI and dynamic row level security
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL, ETL Tools, Data Lakes, and dimensional data modelling
  • Able to integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service (SaaS), or by API automation
  • Demonstrated experience working with various third-party data sources (cloud and on-prem) and connections to these through APIs as well as direct-to-DB and flat files.
  • Advanced user of DAX to create measures, and calculated tables in Power BI
  • Ability to apply transformations to data sources using standard functions and advanced Power Query/M scripting

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience developing and delivering data, analytics, and business intelligence solutions in the healthcare industry. Revenue cycle experience strongly preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or information technology preferred
  • Significant experience blending and displaying data from disparate sources in a cohesive manner
