Senior Data Analyst

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Senior Data Analyst to play a key role in building a new C2B2B online used car marketplace (VavaCars) that leverages our extensive network of petrol stations and worldwide respected brand of our parent company, Vitol.

As a technology first start-up we Dive Deep across all our customer and business KPIs. We believe in detail and thus, use our data to optimize our processes, drive action and deliver results.

Role Mission

Enthusiastic and energized about data, you will extract powerful insights from internal and external datasets, identifying and creating opportunities or new capabilities that deliver growth, drive decisions, and help resource optimization / cost reduction. You will work with BI and Operations teams to own and create analysis presented through reports and dashboards using our data reporting tool (Power BI) utilizing data from our data warehouse fed through Google Analytics, CRM (MS Dynamics), and production database.

You will maintain good relationships with stakeholders from around the business, and seek out new ideas, keeping up to date with business intelligence advancements in the marketplace.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Collaboration across business functions – build and maintain close working relationships with Functional teams (Sales, Operations, Marketing, Finance) and Senior Leadership to develop a thorough understanding of our business and build and evolve the Tech & Tools (BI, CRM, GA) road map.
• Work closely with operational leaders to plan and prioritize critical projects, forecast impacts, and build execution plans
• Reports and dashboards - implement business performance visualizations and dashboards which will report on daily, weekly, monthly activities across the business, identify KPIs, monitor and measure progress.
• Execute operational analyses (e.g., time studies, process mapping) to identify and action on opportunities to increase process and systems efficiency
• Always be proactively solving problems by thinking both big and small
• Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in a data analytics role
• Experience in effectively presenting and visualizing data to tell a compelling story, utilizing tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense, and other visualization techniques.
• Strong familiarity with SQL for data analysis purposes, including data querying, manipulation, and extraction, is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to take initiative, own and complete projects, deliver results in a fast-paced work environment.
• The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
• Exceptional English proficiency, with strong presentation skills.
