Senior Data Engineer - London

Hometrack, part of the Zoopla group, provides property data and insights to our customers. Mortgage lenders, brokers, and local authorities rely on our data products to manage their property portfolio, and lend responsibly. Our goal is to enable full digitalisation across the mortgage journey by combining state of the art technology, data and analytics.

We need a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data team, help us build our next generation data platform and pipelines, and inspire best practice for data across Zoopla.
Your first challenge will be to help customers understand the impact of climate change on the UK’s housing stock, by re-imagining our ETL pipeline for climate data.
You will work with our wider Data team to modernise our best in class valuation models.

Desirable tech skills:

  • Python, Spark
  • Experience in the Cloud, preferably AWS (Glue, Redshift, etc)
  • Terraform, or similar IaC
  • SQL, NoSQL
  • Experience with Data platform solutions: ideally Databricks, or Snowflake
  • Nice to have: Docker (ECS/Kubernetes) Orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster)
