About the opportunity:
We are a web analytics platform that helps E-commerce clients understand the actions andbehaviours that users are performing on their websites through analysis of user journeys,session-level metrics (time spent, conversions, activity), and in-page behaviours (clicks,hovers, scrolls etc). We’re looking for someone with a passion for data and interest in digitaluser experiences. We work with a large portfolio of high-profile clients so you will gainunparalleled, first-hand experience into the digital business strategies for a wide range ofCompanies.
Being a data analyst at Contentsquare requires a combination of technical, analytical skills,as well as consulting and client-facing skills. Within the technical skillset, knowledge ofstatistics, mathematics, SQL/database-querying, Excel, and general abilities in making senseof big data are extremely valuable. Within the client-facing, consulting skillset, we’re lookingfor a candidate comfortable in presenting and talking through data with clients, and anability to construct logical, convincing narratives from data.
You will work within the Professional Services team, managed by a Lead Data Analyst whowill be responsible for your onboarding and training. Analyzing is a team effort, and you willbe working closely with our UX Designers, UI designers and Customer Success Managers onprojects. These projects will give you the opportunity to build and develop something completely new that could be used by our business to improve our ability, and our clients ability, to deriving insights from the data.

What you’ll be doing:
- You will work closely with world-renowned digital clients from various verticals (e-commerce, travel, finance, content) analyzing the performance and customer experience on their websites. This involves understanding the clients’ business goals and major problem areas, identifying opportunities for optimization and growth, and producing actionable recommendations with concrete impact on the clients’ bottom line.
- Applying a mix of qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques, you will produce insights that help businesses improve the customer experience on their websites and ultimately increase conversion. Apart from establishing yourself as a Contentsquare master you will become comfortable in the web analytics ecosystem and draw on data from other web analytics tools such as Google and Adobe Analytics.
- You will work independently on deliverables tailored to the needs of each client and their specific business questions. You will own your research findings and present them to major stakeholders and key decision makers on the client side ensuring you deliver a clear message that businesses can act upon.
- You will initiate innovative ideas for new products within Contentsquare using the raw data that will eventually be included within the Contentsquare offerings.
- (Occasional travel required)
Who we’re looking for:
- You are a strong learner and confident in your numeral, written, and verbal skills.
- You can effectively translate technical jargon to non-technical people. You enjoy explaining what you know and using data to tell stories.
- You are comfortable presenting to a broad audience of stakeholders, and are not afraid to defend your findings in a discussion. You know how to formulate and present your story depending on the audience.
- You have previous work experience or training in working with numbers and data, or have demonstrable experience in numerical analysis.
- Experience using SQL: if not, the strong evidence-based interest in learning SQL as well as other technical skills such as Python knowledge or HTML/CSS/Javascript.
- Knowledge of the digital ecosystem: analytics, traffic acquisition, e-commerce strategies.
- Strong Excel abilities, and experience with Google docs/sheets/slides.
- Any of the following skills/experience is a plus: other analytics, knowledge of Python, R, statistics, data science, UX Design, client-facing presentations, data visualizations, AB test strategies.
- You have a bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a quantitative discipline or social sciences with quantitative research experience.
