Engineering Manager Big Data

We are looking for an Engineering Manager (m/f) for our R&D team based in Nantes. Applicant will be responsible of Big Data part on the Talend Studio. As the Talend Big Data Studio is a technical-, developer-focused product we provide the possibility and also the need for the applicant to stay in touch with latest technologies, like Spark ecosystem (Real-time streaming processing), Hadoop ecosystem (Yarn, Hbase, Hive), Cloud-based as a Service technologies (EMR, Kinesis, Qubole, Databricks, CDP). Use cases we are focusing on are Analytics, Machine Learning, IoT, Data- and Application-Integration with various target and source systems in modern cloud based environment (e.g. AWS, Google, Azure). Responsibilities ·       Manage hierarchically and lead technically 9+ developers ·       Be deeply aware of the development activities in the R&D department and work with architecture and engineering teams to be sure their work is coordinated with the overall product architecture and vision·       Cross department communication with Product Manager, Support, Professional Services, Presales and others to provide technical and usage support to other departments·       Promote the team's achievements and communicate the challenges via team metrics and dashboards that provide complete transparency into the delivery process·       Provide guidance for the development team in technical questions and continuous improvement of the code quality·       Be accountable for team performance and for delivering the technical and functional product roadmaps  Skills and experience: ·       BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience;·       Practical experience in the Big Data domain·       Knowledge and practical experience in one or more of the following technologies would be a good fit: Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Hive, Hbase, Data formats like e.g. Parquet, Avro, ORC, Cloud Technologies, e.g. AWS S3, Azure DataLake Store, Kinesis, BigQuery or related cloud-based systems.·       Experience to do Java coding and good understand of the typical SDLC and related tools like git, junit, maven, docker, and others.·       Strong interpersonal and excellent communication and presentation skills in English·       Experience in working within a distributed & international agile team environment.   AND NOW, A LITTLE ABOUT US:
