Your Mission
Working as part of our small but mighty Data Science team, you'll be using your skills to develop and simulate capacity forecasts, optimize flows, and build/monitor key indicators to support departments throughout SwissBorg. From community support to retention and all things in-between, as the go-to person on all things data as it relates to operations, you'll play an integral role in ensuring we are providing users with the best experience and that we are adequately allocating resources to ensure we can continue to support our explosive user growth!

What you might be doing

  • Develop forecasting algorithms and simulations of different complex scenarios in order to help the planning of different processes and flows in a cost effective way. 
  • Based on the recorded data, study and identify points of improvement of different flows while using statistical methods tools
  • Develop comprehensive metrics while recommending optimisation for constant improvement 
  • Communicate and report observations and results in collaboration with the various stakeholders.
  • To be the key point of contact for data related issues in the operations area and in forecasting related requests for all departments.
  • As a data scientist at SwissBorg, be in charge of various analyses related to product, marketing and user behavior based on the large amount of data available.

What you might look like

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • MSc in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Operations Research,Mathematics, Physics, Industrial Engineering)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate large amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy while adapting to the individual.
  • Strong knowledge of statistics, including design of experiments for optimisation, statistical significance, confidence intervals and predictive analysis techniques.
  • Applied experience in the creation and development of statistical prediction models as well as in machine learning on large data sets.
  • Experience in dealing with various optimization problems and using mathematical techniques to arrive at a concise and clear answer using available data.
  • Experience with time series analysis and forecasting
  • Advanced Python (PyTorch, Keras, Tensorflow) skills and SQL
  • Training and deploying models on AWS a plus
  • Ease in the creation of dashboards adapted to the different interlocutors and excellent reporting skills with a concise and clear style.
  • Must be independent, organised and detail-oriented, as well as have the ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player, excellent communication skills, positive attitude and good work ethic. You bring creative solutions to difficult problems.
