Job Description

As a data analyst, you will be responsible for mining data from programmatic campaigns to extract marketing insights. Your daily playground will range from translating a customer need into data analysis to the conclusion that will inform decision-making on business issues. At the crossroads of quantitative and marketing, you will have a central role in the communication between the different programmatic professions (media traders, data scientists, project managers, developers, data engineers, etc.).

You will participate daily in the optimization of the performance of programmatic campaigns in tandem with the media traders:

  • Monitoring and analysis of programmatic campaigns (banners, video, social ads...), using a range of tools, including dedicated dashboards
  • Conducting quantitative studies related to programmatic to analyze performance according to various indicators, identify improvement levers and business conclusions

You will be proactive in proposing studies, and will make strategic decisions to achieve the client's objectives (volume of conversions, cost of acquisition etc.). Your role around the data, is thus :

  • Internal on campaign optimization
  • External on communications to customers, in their understanding of the figures, via data visualization in particular.
  • Transversal on the identification of recurring needs and the design of new associated study templates; the identification and use of different data sources are the keys to this mission; on the monitoring of tools and the ecosystem by participating in meet-ups and conferences

Qualifications

  • Master's degree (or equivalent) with specialization or experience in data analysis, statistics, or big data
  • Strong analytical skills, taste for numbers and data
  • Interest in digital and relationship marketing, willingness to draw business conclusions and marketing insights
  • Essential interest in a complex and dynamic ecosystem
  • Curiosity, rigor, and convictions are required.
  • Ability to work in a team with people with very different profiles
  • Competence/appetite for data visualization
  • Written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of the programmatic ecosystem and/or initial experience as a data analyst would be a plus

Tools

  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, programming languages (Python, R, Matlab, etc.)
  • Knowledge of database queries (SQL, etc.)
  • Mastery of spreadsheet tools (Google Spreadsheet or Excel)
  • Any language (Python, SQL...) or tools (data viz, dashboard, analytics) mastery would be a plus
