Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Architect with a strong background in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The successful candidate will have a proven track record of designing and implementing data warehouse, data lake, and data lakehouse solutions. This role will require a deep understanding of GCP services and best practices to ensure optimum performance and efficiency of our data architecture. Additionally, the Senior Data Architect will be responsible for data modeling and providing insights on the most effective ways to ingest, store, and manage data.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain data warehouse, data lake, data lakehouse and data mesh solutions.
• Develop and optimize data architecture to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Implement best practices for data ingestion, storage, and management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data models and pipelines.
• Collaborate with client and other teams to arrive at realistic and optimized solutions.
• Provide guidance and expertise on data modeling and data lifecycle management.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and new technologies in the data engineering space

Qualifications

Some of the required qualifications and skills we are expecting the person filling this role to have include:

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Architect, with extensive experience in building data warehouses, data lakes, and data lakehouses
• 2+ years of hands-on experience as an architect within GCP, including expertise in BigQuery and other services in GCP.
• Deep understanding of GCP services, data warehouse behavior, and performance optimization
• 2+ years of experience in data modeling, well-versed with different types of data models, with the ability to provide insights on the best way to ingest and manage data in a solution.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Here are the preferred qualifications:

• 3+ years of consulting experience in the data engineering space
• Well-versed in data mesh and data vault models
• Previous experience in a Senior Architect role, with a background in software engineering
• Knowledge of building pipelines and solutions in GCP
• Only On-premises and/or Teradata experience is not preferred.
