Location: Scotland, Flexible remote working

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Data Analyst/Engineer to join our team and help us leverage data to drive our business forward. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for both analyzing data and developing innovative data solutions to support our operations.

Requirements


  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and databases to ensure data quality and consistency across the organization
  • Analyse complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform strategic decision-making and drive operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide appropriate data solutions
  • Create and maintain documentation related to data processes, systems, and architecture
  • Develop and implement data validation and quality control processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Design and build custom data visualizations and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making across the organisation
  • Continuously evaluate new technologies and techniques to improve data analysis and engineering capabilities


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in a data analyst or data engineer role
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with at least one scripting language (Python, R, or similar)
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and BI reporting
  • Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud-based data storage (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work on complex data sets
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with machine learning algorithms and tools
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and data lake concepts
  • Knowledge of industry best practices in data governance and data security
