Let us introduce ourselves

We’re Intuita, a new kind of data partner.

We’re a collective of like-minded data people ready to cut through complexity to solve business problems in a human-centric and sustainable way. We provide pragmatic end-to-end services, products and technologies combined with straight-talking strategic direction to unlock the true value of data and drive transformational change.

Established in 2011 as a different player to the corporate data world, our ethos is to do the right thing, even if it’s not the easy thing; to build partnerships and relationships based on honesty and transparency; and to prioritise specialist skills and quality above all else.

📝 The role

We’re growing – fast – and have big ambitions across both the consultancy and technology spaces. In order to achieve these ambitions, we’re hiring a Data Visualisation Consultant, specifically with strong Tableau experience to increase our Business Intelligence team.

You’ll sit within our existing Business Intelligence team which consists of existing Data Visualisation Consultants and this role will report into our Associate Business Intelligence. The role would also be working closely with our Analytical and Technical teams to deliver collaborative solutions. You will be expected to own projects day to day, translating business need into technical specifications and following through to delivery themselves or through the team around them.

Your typical week will include:

  • Use Cases and Functionality Specifications – Partnering with clients to understand user needs
  • Reporting App Designs – Through wireframing or prototyping, demonstrate clean design principles for reporting apps
  • Data analysis – assessing new datasets for potential exploitation opportunities
  • Data modelling / design – to meet a variety of needs, balancing business and technology
  • Implementing data solutions – building prototypes and / or final data sets for productionisation
  • Documentation – to hand over designs and solutions to the client
  • Recommendations / value add – offer clients insight into potential uses for the data
  • Presenting information in a clear and concise manner

🧑 A bit about you

Being a consultant at Intuita means something a little different to being a consultant elsewhere; we like to hire like-minded people. We see ourselves as trusted partners to our clients and believe in transparency, quality and integrity above all else, always pushing the boundaries to deliver the best outcomes for our clients. We also really value collaboration and teamwork, making sure we work together to solve problems and share learnings as a team.

As a Data Visualisation Consultant, you’ll share these values but also bring your own personality and approach to the role. We’re looking for someone with the following experience and qualities, but if you don’t fit these exactly and are interested in working for us, get in touch anyway – we hire people, not job specs!

The successful candidate will bring comprehensive knowledge, experience and creativity in the world of data visualisation, and will have working knowledge of the Business Intelligence project lifecycles. They will be expected to lead on these topics, and work with the client’s internal teams to manage requirements, feasibility, design, delivery and handover. They will need to demonstrate a genuine passion for delighting the customer, providing world class outputs which tackle the business need and more.

The role requires a strong reporting design background, with a real interest and understanding in downstream data capabilities. The quality and usefulness of the work we deliver is our trademark, pragmatism and business context are important elements for our output and the candidate would be expected to own and develop these skills.

We are specifically seeking those technically experienced within Tableau alongside these wider skill sets:

  • Proactive & dynamic, driven by delivering quality work
  • Sound knowledge of data exploitation
  • Data mining / analysis
  • Sympathetic to business users and their differing data needs
  • Able to present complex information in an interesting way to a variety of audiences
  • Communication & relationship building, both with technical data SMEs and senior business users
  • Fast learner, happy to ask questions to build understanding and then fly

We are looking for a candidate who has the following background and experience:

  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject
  • Track record of designing and building complex reporting solutions
  • Experienced in collaborative design with business users
  • Experienced in working with large complex data (desirable)
  • Presentation of complex information to stakeholders (desirable)
  • Sound knowledge of data protection obligations

Your technical skill set will include:

  • Tableau (essential)
  • SQL coding experience
  • Good MS Excel skills
  • Experience using large data platforms such as Teradata, Netezza or similar
  • Proficient in the movement of data e.g. via FTP

What’s in it for you?
