The Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer will be a key member of the Armis Data Infrastructure team which is part of the Architecture group, and will join us in building the Armis Data Platform - the self-serve data infrastructure that handles billions of events per day, and powers data-products and data-driven decision making at Armis.

The successful candidate will work closely with other R&D teams and be responsible for designing and implementing all aspects of data infrastructure tooling, including data ingestion, storage, processing, serving, and governance infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and deploy data infrastructure solutions that can keep up with Armis' rapid growth and scale
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and understand the organization's data requirements
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools that can improve the reliability, performance and scalability of the data platform
- Develop and maintain documentation and best practices for data infrastructure and governance
- Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and reporting systems for the data platform
- Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Optimize data pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
- Troubleshoot and resolve data infrastructure issues and incidents
- Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with new trends, techniques, and technologies in data engineering and data infrastructure.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in backend infrastructure engineering in a cloud environment
- At least 2 years of experience in data infrastructure engineering
- In-depth experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and Apache Flink
- In-depth experience with distributed storage systems such as Hadoop HDFS, AWS S3, and Google Cloud Storage
- Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL
- Strong programming skills in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with data governance and metadata management tools is a plus
- Experience with building and deploying machine learning models is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Passion to create the best working software, learn cutting edge technologies and a constant craving for becoming a better engineer
- Bachelor's or Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
