Job Description

As Application and Research Engineer for Semiconductor (m/f/d) you take over an active role within the expansion of our semiconductor business in Europe and support our customers concerning the application of our components to their vehicle applications and research the market trend and direction.

  • Facilitate product promotion and understand the design needs of customers for our semiconductor products (e.g. Power Module, Intelligent Power Device, Battery Management IC) by your engineering expertise,
  • Support our European customers from development until series production phase,
  • Explore our European customers’ real needs and expectations, match them with the characteristics of our products and provide solutions in cooperation with our research and development department for semiconductors in Japan,
  • Create project plans based on internal and customers’ milestones,
  • Act as an interface between our European customers or research organization and our research and development department for semiconductors in Japan,
  • Propose approaching strategy for customers or research organization, and prepare technical presentation,
  • Conduct marketing activities and benchmark studies.

Qualifications

  • University degree in electrical engineering or comparable education with focus on electronics and semiconductor devices,
  • First working experiences with electrification in the Automotive area of advantage,
  • Good communication and presentation skills,
  • High service and customer orientation,
  • Team player as well as independent working style,
  • A fluent level of English is required and additionally a good command of Japanese and German is of advantage.
