What are you going to do?

You will work on a team of highly motivated and talented individuals that collaborate with organizational leaders, product managers, technical project managers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and client service stakeholders across the company to implement new features and products.
You must be able to work independently and you will be responsible for developing new features and/or products that will be used by professionals across the entertainment and technology industries.

Your responsibilities

• Analyzes and evaluates reported data-related problems, take responsibility/ownership, and prevent recurrence.
• Develops solutions on Snowflake/Redshift, Postgres, and Oracle
• Develops, implements, administers and maintains logical and physical data models to support business, performance, reliability, and security requirements.
• Develops, tests, implements, troubleshoots, and supports data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
• Maintains database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters; implements new releases; completes maintenance requirements.
• Pro-actively manages database Performance Tuning and Optimization.
• Develops and implements database business continuity plans and procedures.
• Creates new databases, tables, views, indexes, scheduled jobs, triggers, logins, etc. based on system specifications.
• Tunes data warehouse and other database systems for optimal performance and reliability.
• Performs index and statistics maintenance.
• Develops, implements, administers and maintains operational automation scripting.
• Maintains technical documentation related for the database systems and processes.
• Flexible schedule that will allow occasional after-hours or weekend escalation support as required.
• Coaches, trains and mentors other employees on proper access and use of database systems.

Why do we need your skills?

• Advanced knowledge of Snowflake (SnowSQL/T-SQL), PostgreSQL (PL/pgSQL), Oracle (PL/SQL) and/or Redshift - current networking concepts, best practices, and database design and development
• Experience designing and developing data integration solutions using ETL tools such as dbt and SSIS.
• Experience with performance tuning and fine tuning the warehouses.
• Experience with user management, roles, users, and grants based on approvals
• Experience with enforcing data integrity guardrails and writing automated scripts to ensure data cleansing based on unique business logic
• Deployment experience in production environments
• Advanced knowledge of database backup concepts, query optimization, and data security.
• The ability to write fully optimized scripts and stored procedures is essential across all database/warehouse technologies
• Understanding data pipelines and modern ways of automating data pipeline
• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time. Demonstrate the following skills: high-level of productivity, excellent written and verbal communication skills, team player, positive inter-personal skills, self-motivated and independent thinker.
