Job Description

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be working in a Scrum Team of cross-functional skills in tight collaboration practising Agile. You will be contributing to real decisions about technology to create maintainable solutions for our customers and participating in a highly collaborative group of software engineering professional’s. Learning, developing your skills further and continuously improving will be part of your role. 

You will develop software to meet our client's user needs using Java and Spark, follow best practice guidelines and help to improve those guidelines. In addition to Java, you will contribute to the Front End development within the project. You will be creating best in class documentation with our client users in mind.

Qualifications

• 5+ years Java development experience  
• Previous experience with Spark
• Front end development with an SPA framework. Angular preferable. 
• Experience with the Spring framework (Spring Boot 1 & 2) for the development of new or existing Microservices. 
• Experience in Big Data environment - messaging, consumption to hdfs/hive, & data transformation
• Sql Reporting & Scripting
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes is beneficial
• Familiar with all phases of software development; from requirements gathering and design through to build, deployment and support  
• Strong experience of unit and regression testing
• The ability to operate well under a variety of different situations and types of projects.
