Job Description

About the team:

As part of the IT group, we are responsible for executing our enterprise data strategy which emphasizes data management maturity, fosters a robust data culture, and architects a best-in-class enterprise data platform.  We have the ultimate goal to provide trusted data and insights at scale which enable corporate and functional data-driven decision making. We are fueled by organic innovation, internal collaboration and adoption of data visualization, data management, reporting automation, AI/ML and integration tools. We leverage best practices and alignment through our Enterprise Data Community to deliver speed to insight, scale, control and enablement. The team is distributed across the United States and India and is composed of data engineers, data analysts, visualization developers, and infrastructure specialists.

What You’ll Do

• Design and deploy predictive models, leveraging large data sets including data about our product entitlement, utilization, support, pricing, revenue, sales, and marketing activities.
• Apply various data science methods to understand Zscaler product usage & consumption patterns and their correlation to customer churn, growth, and expansion. 
• Develop algorithms and predictive models to solve critical business problems for Zscaler, including the development of SaaS Account Health, Propensity to Buy, Churn Prediction, and other business-critical use-cases
• Perform evidence-based evaluations of the most important drivers of satisfaction with Zscaler products, growth, and support
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business problems and develop data-driven solutions focused on maximizing the business-value delivery
• Identify new data sources and data types that can be used to improve the accuracy and efficacy of predictive models
• Influence and maintain a data science strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives
• Grow a team of data scientists, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and coaching as needed

Qualifications

Qualifications/Your Background

• At least 10 years of experience in data science and AI/ML Modeling 
• Strong experience working with business functions Sales, Finance, Customer Support, Product preferably in a SaaS organization
• Expertise in scoping work requested by diverse sets of stakeholders and ability to map it to the business value delivery and strategic goals
• Good understanding of data flows/processes in industry standard ERP & Financial Systems like NetSuite, Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud), Adaptive Insights, HRIS (SmartRecruiters, Jobvite etc.) 
• Strong experience with programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL and ability to perform complex modeling with large volumes of data
• Strong experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, CRM Analytics or similar BI tool
• Strong capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent problem-solving skills and end to end quantitative thinking
• 3+ years of experience leading team of data scientists/analysts
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, or engineering required
