As our organisation continues to grow we are hiring a SAS Programmer (Medical, Clinical Science and Data Management)

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Focused on developing and maintaining SAS programming to support the review of clinical data as part of the integrated cross-functional data cleaning approach supporting data management, clinical & medical science departments (e.g., Patient Profiles, Excel workbooks, metrics, data visualization)
  • Requires the ability to apply SAS programming skills to complex clinical data (e.g., application of oncology disease assessment criteria)
  • Run SAS programs and provide outputs at study defined frequencies to internal and external team members/study drives
  • Contributes to the development and enhancement of programming standards to ensure efficiency and consistency across projects
  • Participates as needed in internal and external study-specific team meetings
  • Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision
  • Ability to read, write and speak fluent English

Performs other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of five (5) years or eight (8) years (Sr. level) of experience in clinically based programming within either the CRO or pharmaceutical industry
  • Advanced programming experience with: SAS Base, SAS macro facility, database design principles, general statistical concepts and procedures
  • Experience programming “dirty data” for purposes of data review & cleaning and real-time medical/scientific assessment (not CDISC compliment programming)
  • Oncology & rare disease experience preferred
  • Experience with electronic data capture systems
  • Experience with data visualization tools (such as JReview) preferred
  • Experience producing output to various destinations (Word, Excel, Adobe)
