We are looking for a junior Data Scientist to join the Research and Development team who is willing to learn about the complexities of structured, semi-structured and non-structured text data and have a significant impact on the Healthcare Analytics sector.
This is an internship (alternance) position (that might evolve to a CDI contract) in France.
The Position: Junior R&D Data Scientist.
The Role:
As part of the AI and data engineering department, you will work side to side with a team of AI engineers, architects and data scientists located in multiple countries to perform research and development on AI-based technologies applied to Healthcare Analytics.
Requirements
Expected Tasks:
- Assist in and support the research, conceptualisation, design, and development of data acquisition and data processing systems.
- Perform bibliographic surveys and reviews.
- Design and perform experiments under the supervision of a Principal Scientist.
- Manage multiple assignments, with manager support, that can range from low to high complexity.
- Apply R&D methodologies in ontologies and knowledge graphs for AI.
- Clearly and efficiently communicate research progress in weekly group meetings.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Proficient at using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve issues and identify improvement opportunities.
- Able to analyze complex problems, summarize data and make recommendations.
- Ability to translate data and/or system requirements into technical terms for developers.
- Experience with Unix shell scripting, python and its scientific & statistics libraries.
- Experience with at least one Deep Learning framework such as TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English are a must.
