Job Description

The Auto practice within Epsilon accelerates and drives growth for major players of the automotive industry, from Original Equipment Manufacturers to Dealers big and small in the US and Canada. Part of a 1,600-member global team, the practice offers the automotive world’s largest service reminder platform along with agency services and digital media solutions. A leader in the automotive space, the team supports over 50% dealers in the US and manages 280M+ customer vehicle relations. Our Auto team is home to innovative thoughts, latest in technology and is always at the front of learning new.

Role Responsibilities

• Designs and deploy the data warehousing system to support day-to-day operations and reporting. 
• Conducts preliminary testing of data sources and data warehouse environment prior to extracting and loading data into the systems.
• Adopts all necessary steps required to create analysis-ready data tables including data integration, variable preparation, and quality control. Ensures compliance with the production standards.
• Programs and maintains report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources.
• Generates datasets for information reporting using system tools, database queries and scripts.
• Collaborate with the internal and external stakeholders to manage data system enhancements including system specifications, data specifications, structures, and rules.
• Detect data anomalies and/or inconsistencies and resolve them in a timely manner
• Proactively identifies areas for improvement and automate processes resulting in efficiency gain
• Able to clearly communicate the steps taken to create outputs system modifications
• Always follow the best practices and architecture guidelines while building data solutions
• Execute multiple projects concurrently and account for the timeliness and quality.
• Always focused on fulfilling clients’ core needs, value-add and exceed expectations
• Coach junior Data Engineers on tools and processes within the team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent relevant experience required
• 5+ years of advanced experience in SAS (Base, Macros, ODS, Access Engines), SQL, and Python  
• 3+ years of working proficiency in the Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server
• Base/Advanced SAS Certification is preferred
• Good knowledge of ETL Process, Data Hub/Lakes/Mart/Mesh and Data Democratization
• Exposure to Apache Hive and Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus
• Working knowledge of Automotive Industry data is an advantage
• Excellent communication skills and able to build good working relationship with clients
• Flexibility to work in a virtual environment with stakeholders in US time zones
• Exhibit technical acumen and possess good learning mindset.
