Job Description

As part of the Customer Insight team, you will focus on helping the business understand the ASOS customer and all their touch points with ASOS. The aim is to build a connected strategy across the business to drive the most engagement for sustainable and profitable growth.

What You’ll be Doing

We are looking for a customer and data-driven person who is comfortable using different sources of data to investigate trends and reveal the findings in a meaningful way that non-analytical audiences will be able to understand.

You’ll work with stakeholders across the business, gaining a better understanding of their analytical needs allowing you to make suggestions for strategic testing and changes; and see your findings being implemented for a better experience for the customer.

  • Profiling customer behaviour and demographics by market, to help stakeholders understand their audience and plan activity accordingly.
  • Understand different types of customer behaviour through analytics and building statistical models for segmentation and propensity analysis.
  • Championing a test and learn approach with stakeholders, helping to define testing roadmaps, structuring tests, then drawing insight and recommendations from results.
  • Proactively collaborate with other customer insight functions in the team (Marketing, Customer Research and Trade) to enhance our knowledge of the customer and combine insight into one aligned story for the business.
  • Lead discussions with data teams and input into data designs to ensure we are using the most accurate and relevant data for our insight
  • Consistently bring new ideas to the table and proactively push for change based on the findings of your analysis relating to business questions, analytics approaches, datasets and ways of working.
  • Input into stakeholder planning and provide the requested data and insight to allow the right data driven decisions to be made
  • Respond to ad hoc data requests as required whilst ensuring we are enabling the business to self-serve where possible

Qualifications

Who We’d Like to Meet

  • Knowledge and experience of working in Customer Insight, Loyalty or CRM, delivering insight to inform commercial decisions
  • Knowledge and day to day use of SQL (essential)
  • Knowledge of programming languages (Python, R) (desirable)
  • Use of data visualisation tools is desirable (Power BI, Tableau), but not essential
  • A strong analytical approach with excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • A passion for data analysis and problem solving
  • A proactive and flexible approach
  • Quality, accuracy and attention to detail are critical
  • Ability to work under own initiative, effectively prioritise workload and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, and a good team player
