As a Sr. Data Visualization Engineer, you will be the technical data visualization guide that gives shape to data and develops the code to ensure it communicates to the intended audience. You will primarily build interactive data visualizations to communicate business insights, drive strategic conversations and provide understanding at the VP+ level.

As part of our global Analytics Engineering team that works across the full PlayStation Network as the connective tissue for data between business, Product, Marketing, Engineering, Design and other teams. You will have a multidisciplinary feedback loop with your collaborators, so you can prototype and iterate.

Your role will be fast paced and multifaceted, while allowing space for thinking, iteration and continuous education/professional development. One day you could be working on a tool to visually explore PS5 customer interaction data, and then the next week you might be focused on visualizing the performance of ML driven personalization campaigns.

You will collaborate with other technical leads to build detailed, modular, and performant code that is aligned with our engineering guidelines and standards. And act as an ambassador for existing and innovative data visualization technologies. You will radiate your expertise by mentoring colleagues and giving presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree; Advanced graduate degree (e.g., MBA, PhD, etc.) or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Significant experience with D3.js
  • Significant experience in developing websites, products or services that balance user needs, business objectives and technological constraints
  • Knowledge of data visualization process, trends, and history
  • Validated expertise with notebooks like Observable, Jupyter, R studio
  • Significant experience with data engineering and/or data science
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and Design Thinking practices
  • Extensive portfolio of projects and methodology
  • Experienced communication in English - both verbally and in writing
  • Strong presence and ability to work successfully with people at all levels of an organization

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.$145,700—$218,500 USD
