Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions that meet client needs and solve complex business problems; 
  • Analyzing data, extracting insights from large and complex data sets, building predictive/descriptive models, and communicating findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Mentoring and providing technical guidance to team members (data scientists and data engineers) to support their professional development; 
  • Participating in business development activities, taking part in proposal writing and client presentations; 
  • Communicating with clients to understand their needs and providing updates on project progress; 
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest advances in data science techniques and technologies; 

Requirements:

  • Master or PhD degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering or equivalent field, or extensive industry experience and additional certifications in data science or data-related fields; 
  • Proven end-to-end experience within data science/machine learning projects, from the initial idea and problem statement to project report and valuable results; 
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, as well as experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and Keras. Proficiency with SQL; 
  • Strong leadership and communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to mentor junior data scientists, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and present results to clients; 
  • Having a proactive outlook, being eager to take the lead, and being able to function with minimal supervision; 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development and attention to detail. Ability to break down and understand complex business problems, define a solution, and implement it using advanced quantitative methods; 
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced consulting environment, work on multiple projects simultaneously (when needed), and manage changing priorities and deadlines; 

You will get extra credits for:

  • Previous work experience in a similar position; 
  • Previous work experience in a consulting company; 
  • Experience with leading junior-to-mid data scientists/data engineers/engineers formally or informally; 
  • Additional experience in working with R or any other programming languages; 
  • Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark; 
  • Understanding of software development and/or data engineering; 
  • Familiarity with any cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.); 
  • Eager to work with various domains and technologies;
