Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our Common Data Intelligence HUB virtual team at T-Systems Germany. The Common Data Intelligence HUB is a team of approximately 100 engaged professionals dedicated to developing business intelligence solutions and open datasets for T-Systems. Our team is focused on providing valuable insights and analytics for international business steering of T-Systems.
The successful candidate will work alongside colleagues from Germany, Slovakia, Spain, and Hungary in an virtual international environment. You will have the opportunity to work on assigned tasks independently and also as part of agile team working in Scrum methodology. You will work on business intelligence solutions that impact T-Systems worldwide and work in a BI environment with thousands of end-users. Purpose
Develops new and maintain existing source code of applications in programming language like Java, ASP.Net or C# based on requirements of internal or external customers. These applications support usually automation of business processes. Works independently or in project team on developing and building midsize and complex application for customer usage. Handles all phases of software development lifecycle by himself, especially for midsize applications, provides professional support in the field of deep system analysis, technical documentation, building related infrastructure for developed application by prototyping, research. Performs role of lead development architect, substitutes the role of project manager in case of small or midsize software projects, serves as professional mentor
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Advanced SQL development in the Microsoft SQL database: You should possess an in-depth understanding of SQL and be able to design and optimize database structures, write complex queries, and analyze query performance.
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack: You should have extensive experience working with the Microsoft BI stack, including SQL Server, Analysis Services, and Integration Services. You should have experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and report development.
- Advanced Agile development methods: You should be proficient in Agile development methodologies and be able to work collaboratively with team members in an Agile environment. You should be comfortable with continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing.
- Fluency in English: You should be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency in German: Knowledge of German is an advantage, but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of cloud solutions: Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud solutions is a big plus.
- Experience with automation: Knowledge of Azure’s PowerApps and Power Automate is an advantage.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with advanced SQL development in the Microsoft SQL database and experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence stack environment. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of databases and automated solutions for our central reporting platform built on the Microsoft BI stack. You will act as a leader in the solution implementation process, overseeing the development, testing, and deployment of database and automation solutions to production.

Salary
Final salary is negotiable.
We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 3100€ /brutto.
