About the opportunity
  
As a member of the global data engineering team, reporting to the Global Director of Data Analytics & Engineering, this role will contribute to the global delivery of data initiatives, through people leadership skills and technical expertise. Primarily the US based team members will report to this role.
 
Some of the other responsibilities you’ll have:

  • Analysis and Reporting – Responsible for data analysis and reporting activities for data related to customer and marketing analytics to leverage concise, high quality information to identify and address business opportunities and threats. Work closely with clients and IT teams to analyse critical business data to also identify business intelligence, reporting and further data analysis needs.
  • Data Engineering - Build data sets and pipelines contributing to data warehouse models with ETL development ( SSIS ETL, SQL and PowerBI dashboard reporting).
  • Cloud Migration – Contribute to the migration from On-premise to cloud first data platform
  • System Uptime – Responsible for the day to day monitoring and support of the production environment for Datawarehouse products. Including ETL completion, data pipelines, data quality assurance process and system health checks.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance – Contribute toward the testing of data and quality data checks to ensure accuracy of information.
  • Team Leadership - Responsible for the day to day management of the BI team to provide leadership, guidance and motivation; while also assisting with training and development.

 

Qualifications

What would make me a good candidate?  

  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Stack, SQL, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI and DAX. Including
  • Data Modelling and transformation via development of ETL practices with SSIS aligned to Kimball or other methodologies.
  • Able to author and troubleshoot performant SQL queries in an enterprise scale environment.
  • Experience with Python and cloud based technologies such as, Snowflake, Fivetran and dbt would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and  sound judgment while analyzing and interpreting data to ensure a high level of accuracy, and usefulness for business leaders.
  • Experience in Agile delivery methodologies  such as Scrum, Kanban or KABI.
  • Ability to work in a team where you manage output and priorities with a Product Owner.
  • Strong facilitation and coaching skills
  • Advanced ability to define and translate business requirements into effective BI solutions.
  • Proactive, self-motivated learner with a strong drive to achieve personal goals

The average base salary pay range for this role is $90,000-$125000

May be considered for a discretionary bonus
