Your new role:

Perform statistical analysis of data to predict trends in the clinical data sets and be able to extract insight providing analytical rigour for business requirements. To provide support on data collection and data processing systems / tools for the clinical team while ensureing that the company delivers a safe and effective data analysis through delivering timely insights which will be utilised by key stakeholders and business departments.

This Opportunity is Part-time (3 days/24 hours a week) - Salary: £21,000 (£35,000 FTE)

Requirements

  • To identify clinical data requirements with internal staff and/or external clients that will drive insights and business decisions.
  • Responsible for ensuring excellent data quality in our clinical data sets, identifying data quality and integrity issues. Including but not limited to organising and transforming information into comprehensible structures
  • Responsibility for preparing reports for presentation to management and or key stakeholders
  • Responsible of monitoring data quality and recommending innovative ways to improve data quality used
  • Adding value to the service by providing expert analysis and insight, working alongside clinical, operational and commercial staff to drive improvement in the service.

Person Specification

  • BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics – Or equivalent STEM skillset within working experience
  • Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
  • Technical Expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Knowledge and experience of the clinical pathways possibly from a clinical academic or employment background in General Practices or Hospitals
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (PowerBI, Dynamics etc) and awareness of data and management lifecycles.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral), to be able to locate, analyse and disseminate data content for business requirements
  • Good organisational and administrative skills
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Robust and persistent in the pursuit of objectives and maintaining personal credibility
  • Able to analyse and demonstrate logical and critical thinking
  • Computer literate (Microsoft office) and can work with or rapidly adopt skills in New Clinical IT systems, Jira, Slack,
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
