The Insight and Analytics (I&A) department at the Telegraph consists of Data Scientists, Researchers, Digital Analysts and Insight analysts. We are recruiting a new Data Analyst, to join the Operational Analytics team.

You will support the Operational Analytics team and its stakeholders by ensuring the provision of timely and accurate data, and by developing data products, including dashboards and reports that help the business understand performance and identify opportunities for growth.

This role will provide a wide and varied grounding in data analytics, analytics engineering, and business intelligence reporting and is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, high performing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in building, maintaining and improving the delivery of high quality reports and dashboards to key stakeholders from across the organisation.
  • Support the team in developing and maintaining analytics infrastructure.
  • Share knowledge and understanding with the wider Insight and Analytics team.
  • Champion a metric oriented culture in the Telegraph.

Requirements

  • A graduate with a numerate degree and/or experience in a data engineering, analytics, or business intelligence role
  • Experience using one or more programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R, and with a business intelligence tool such as Looker Studio
  • Demonstrable use of Microsoft Office/Google Docs
  • An interest in developing complex data analysis skills
  • Proactive, curious, self-confident, highly motivated team player
