Job Description

As (Senior/Lead) Data Engineer (m/f/d) at Devoteam G Cloud, you will be part of our team with over 500 Google experts and support our customers to grow together with Google Cloud, create a culture of innovation and transform and modernise their applications.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role you will be

• responsible for analyzing, creating, manipulating and organizing database systems
• consolidating customer data to make it easily accessible and readable to users throughout their community
• working closely with the development team to update database storage, troubleshoot
• technical issues and creating visual layouts to display data

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Fluent English and German is nice to have
• Minimum of three years data modelling experience with conducting performance tuning, backup/recovery, and scalability/capacity planning, in addition to SQL, PL/SQL
• Minimum of five years troubleshooting and problem-solving experience
• Knowledge of GCP native databases like Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, Cloud Bigtable, Memory Store, BigQuery
• Relevant GCP certifications - Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Database Engineer, Professional Data Engineers
• Experience with designing and implementing Data Platforms based on Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Data Mesh concepts
• You are also familiar with the following: 
  • ETL/ELT to ingest data from various external systems such as on-prem databases, SAP, Salesforce
  • Batch- and Stream ingestion, change-data-capture
  • Google Data Fusion, Dataflow (Apache Beam), Fivetran/HVR, Airbyte, Databricks
  • Hadoop, Spark, Flink
  • Data Governance in large environments (data security, permission concepts, data lineage)
  • reverse ETL  - provide data from the data warehouse back to business applications
  • census, hightouch
