We are seeking a Contract Senior Data Engineer for our Advanced Analytics practice to design custom marketing data pipeline solutions for our clients across various industries and maturity levels. The role involves direct client consulting and solutioning, with a heavy focus on internal best practices and evolving our capabilities. The ideal candidate has a broad knowledge of the digital marketing analytics space and deep technical expertise in Cloud and Marketing Platforms.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with clients in a wide range of industries to identify and elevate opportunities for data-driven solutions, improving digital maturity in audience targeting and personalization
  • Oversee data engineering projects, including marketing data warehousing and ML modeling pipelines
  • Work with data scientists to deploy end-to-end ML models at scale 
  • Perform discovery and solutioning activities with clients, define and scope projects, and attend client calls as the SME
  • Create data infrastructure diagrams and develop ETL solutions leveraging various cloud technologies and third-party tools 
  • Design and build Marketing Data Warehouses, ingesting data from web analytics, CRM, and media platforms, using appropriate cloud infrastructure for automation
  • Articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing; understand the audience and tailor messages accordingly
  • Drive collaboration by facilitating brainstorming, peer reviews, and trainings to increase technical capabilities of the team; drive the adoption of git for quality, scalable solutions 
  • Follow developments in the field by continuous learning and proactively champion promising new methods relevant to the problems at hand

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years data engineering experience for digital marketing data sources
  • 2+ years in a consulting role or performing product management tasks 
  • Advanced SQL and intermediate Python (or similar server-side OOP language) knowledge is a must
  • Experience using cloud platforms for data warehousing and modeling pipelines (GCP, Azure, AWS a plus) and with leveraging third-party marketing tools and APIs for data warehousing 
  • Experience with Customer Data Platforms and marketing data platforms (Search/Display, Optimize, Ads)a plus 
  • Experience working with large scale data in Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to juggle various client projects simultaneously
  • Prior consultancy/agency experience a plus but not required
  • Professional Data Engineer Certification(GCP) a plus
