Job Description

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Capture macro and micro requirements, translate into technical specifications
  • Conduct analysis using SQL to understand business problem, identify and fix data issues
  • Assess requirements to implementation flow; help conduct quality assurance checks to validate implementations
  • Focus on key business outcomes we are trying to drive with each implementation and put a process to instrument and measure it
  • Work in a matrix team across product, tech and BI reporting
  • Conduct process mapping and system analysis to understand integration needs to ensure proper data flow.
  • Conduct user segmentation and funnel analyses to understand user journey.
  • Analyze data to determine areas of opportunity, form hypothesis and quickest way to prove the hypothesis
  • Work with product and business stakeholders to gather requirements
  • Work with engineering teams to translate those needs to a data model
  • Document the requirements + data models for data engineers to implement

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working with enterprise level data
  • Passionate about data and proficiency in SQL to conduct data analysis
  • Outcome-driven, utilizes data to form hypotheses, and deliver solutions using an iterative approach.
  • Strong metrics orientation, able to develop data dashboards to enable real time decision making.
  • Ability to analyze product performance data and generate actionable insights.
  • Experience with Customer Data Platform (CDP) tools like Segment.io or Tealium or mParticle
  • Experience with product reporting tools like Amplitude or Heap.io or Mixpanel
  • Experience with building tracking plans, working with stakeholders on requirements, and translating them to tracking plans for developer implementation.
  • Experience with data warehouse/data lake like Databricks or Snowflake or Redshift
  • Data Governance
  • Experienced using tools like Google Analytics, Omniture or Amplitude.
  • Experience in using BI tools like Tableau, Power BI or Looker
  • Expert in product discovery techniques like story mapping, process mapping.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary Range - $105k - $120k
  • Yearly Bonus: 10% of base
