Senior Data Scientist, Growth Marketing

Advertising is Reddit’s primary revenue driver and we have an ambitious goal to turn it into a massive business. Although several large digital ad platforms already exist, advertisers are being increasingly drawn to Reddit because of our passionate communities. We believe our community-centric platform has created the opportunity for Reddit to build a highly differentiated ads business.
We are looking for a results-oriented and strategically minded Data Scientist to work with our Growth Marketing team to help us accelerate our advertiser growth and understand our paid marketing efforts. This role will partner closely with several cross-functional partners such as the business marketing team and the ads product team to analyze the effectiveness of marketing programs.

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as product, marketing, and business development to model, analyze and influence the impact of multiple marketing tactics
- Develop dashboards to analyze marketing spend performance and return on investment
- Drive research investigations to understand the behavior of advertisers acquired through different paid marketing channels
- Develop an advertiser segmentation to help us understand how to better quantify customer needs and workflows
- Stand up lifetime value models to estimate the value of advertisers acquired through paid marketing
- Conduct in-depth post-campaign analysis or set up experiments to help the team understand performance and opportunities for improved targeting.
- Be an integral part of the Data Org (consisting of Data Science, Data Engineering, Experimentation, and Core ML), leveraging and contributing to the vibrant knowledge base, shared across a community of world-class data experts.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in quantitative analytical roles, preferably for an ads marketing team
- Proficiency with relational database (e.g., SQL)
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and programming languages (e.g., R / Python)
- Results-oriented with a strong customer and business focus
- Entrepreneurial and self-directed, demonstrated ability to innovate and bias toward action in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to communicate and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to tackle ambiguous and undefined problems

Pay Transparency:
This job posting may span more than one career level.
In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.
The base pay range for this position is: $183,000 - $275,300
