Key job responsibilities
As a Worldwide BD Specialist, you will own the growing adoption, utilization, and revenue for an AWS service worldwide. You will gather customer and industry needs and partner with AWS product teams to innovate, develop, and deliver AWS offerings. BD Specialists are technically savvy resources responsible for identifying opportunities to innovate with customers, influencing the AWS product roadmap, and driving revenue for a specific AWS service. As a BD Specialist, you will own, develop, and implement technical go-to-market plans and sales plays for new or existing services, and drive customer and partner engagements by participating in AWS field enablement activities. You will also identify gaps in AWS products or feature sets based on customer insights and partner with internal product teams to win strategic customer workloads and drive business revenue

About the team
The WWSO AI/ML team positions AWS as the best place to build, experiment, and run production workloads with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Our team helps customers migrate and modernize AI/ML workloads while providing a secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure for customers to innovate and unlock new potential. As a Business Development Specialist , you will create scaled GTM motions for AWS Data & AI/ML services to expand adoption of these services into new or existing portfolios. This position will help Strategic AWS customers adopt Amazon SageMaker for ML and build innovative solutions with AI Services Transcribee, Textract, Rekognition etc.

Basic Qualifications


  • 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
  • 7+ years of professional or military experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $140,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
