About the role:

As a Lead Data Consultant, Master Data Management you will drive a small team to deliver well-structured and high-impact master data projects for clients. You will be the primary client contact and be responsible for delivering projects to an industry-beating standard.

On a day-to-day basis you’ll be focusing on:

  • Project management: Organising a team to deliver specific outcomes within a given timeline.
  • Product management: Managing the ideation, planning, execution and delivery of new products.
  • Senior stakeholder engagement: Managing the client and senior team throughout early stage engagement and delivery.
  • Identifying and articulating data pain points within organisations that can benefit from MDM interventions
  • Defining bespoke MDM strategies for our clients with an aim to achieve well designed, high quality and controlled master data
  • Understanding, documenting, and (where appropriate) defining critical master data hierarchies
  • Implementing and configuring MDM solutions to meet our client’s business needs and objectives, supported by the appropriate level of change management.
  • Aligning and implementing key processes needed to effectively manage master data, and training business users to execute these processes
  • Designing and implementing the interaction between MDM solutions and Data Warehousing solutions to achieve a common understanding of critical master data entities across our client’s data landscape

You will work alongside the founders, Henry Crawford and Jon Tippell, who will ensure that you’re well supported and set up to succeed.

Requirements

You’ll do great here if you:

  • Expertise in at least 4 of the 6 responsibilities above.
  • Good understanding of Master Data Management best practice, and experience in MDM design as well as implementation
  • Effective multitasking skills
  • A results-oriented mindset with an eye for detail and a passion for data
  • Confident and concise communication skills: with the ability to articulate complex/conceptual Data concepts to influence and drive alignment, collaboration and efficiency both within and across multi-disciplinary teams and communicate technical requirements to business stakeholders and vice versa
  • Comfort with some travel to clients

It’s a bonus if you have:

  • Expertise and in-depth knowledge of off-the-shelf MDM solutions
  • Project management skills and experience in leading/managing data projects
  • Experience in leading Master Data Management at an Enterprise, strategic or operational level
  • Experience and knowledge of data and business operations in the consumer packaged goods or retail industries
  • Experience working with technical teams across the data spectrum, including data architecture and data modelling
  • Agile workstream management experience

💸Compensation
In addition to the competitive base salary you’ll also receive:
• Discretionary company bonus
• Enabling business expenses to support you in your role - £400/pa allowance for equipment/technology for work, £100/pa allowance for self-directed learning in addition to learning and development provided, and a simple expenses policy to enable travel, team social events and celebrations and other spend required for your role
