Job location:  Ottawa, Ontario, CA- Hybrid; Other North American locations - Remote

Product Managers at Kinaxis are responsible for guiding the success of one or more product areas. They provide the deep product expertise needed to lead the organization and make strategic product decisions for their given product areas. They are responsible for driving the market analysis, product strategy, business cases, competitive analysis and managing their products through all phases of the product life cycle, including concept, definition, planning, development and implementation.

This Data Strategy Product Manager role will be responsible for the vision and execution of our overall platform data strategy.  This includes all elements of in-bound/out-bound integration, data storage, quality, movement, governance.  The data strategy must serve the interests of our customers, partners, services and our internal operations. 

The Data Strategy Product Manager will have strong data and integration expertise, experience building software platforms and cloud-native solutions.

At Kinaxis, Product Managers work with every functional group in the company from guiding the implementation with R&D to enabling sales, aligning leadership, technical sales, professional service, cloud operations, the support organization and more.  

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Product Manager with technical and customer facing experience
• Experience in driving the strategy and delivery of a product, from market validation to launch
• Experience with SaaS (Software as a Service) or Cloud software architecture
• Extensive knowledge and experience with data platforms, data strategies and best practices related to data management
• Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and considerations such as cost, performance, security and scale
• Experience with the definition, specification, and delivery of data management platform components
• Aware of infrastructure technology trends, and the current public cloud ecosystem
• Detailed knowledge of different styles of integration – batch, real-time, streaming, APIs etc
• Experience with SAP Integration would be an asset
• Self-starter able to thrive in a highly ambiguous environment
• Structured problem-solving and analytical skills, able to simplify complexity
• Prior experience with data-intensive products or services
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills
