Are you a master at data analysis and noticing issues in high volumes of data? Are you intrigued by the challenge of using your research skills to improve the successful lifecycle of our products? If yes, the Data Analyst position is the role for you!
The Data Analyst will be a part of a Release Management team and ensure that all the changes we make are trouble-free. You will be an important member of our launch monitoring data analyst squad, who is making our deployments successful and efficient.
You will know what the changes are about to prepare in advance to monitor them by building dashboards and setting up alerts for specific features along with the basic metrics. You will need to make sure that the release management team has all the right scripts and reports to audit the settings, metrics and configurations they do. You will cooperate closely with deployment and release coordinators, as well as DevOps, Dev and Product teams, to be on top of what they are doing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor releases and deployments and flag issues to appropriate teams in a timely manner;
  • Work with live data and detect data anomalies; 
  • Forecast potential problem areas through monitoring production statistics;
  • Work closely with Dev and Infra teams to improve monitoring;
  • Stay informed of configuration, deployment, and database changes to ensure analytics tools are always working as expected;
  • Design and script reports based on business requirements (often ad hoc);
  • Organize data in an easily understandable format using graphs and pivot tables to provide to product and business teams;
  • Collaborate with teams to report issues facing production systems, particularly Incident Management, Release Management and NoC teams.

Who You Are

  • You have at least 1-2 years of experience in Data Analysis;
  • You know Python well enough to prepare alerts and performance reports;
  • You are an advanced Windows or MacOS user;
  • You are a confident Kibana user;
  • You can monitor significant changes in real-time data;
  • You work productively with minimal direction;
  • You have good problem-solving skills;
  • You are a creative thinker with strong attention to details;
  • You have Upper-Intermediate written and spoken technical English, enough to discuss issues with teams remotely.

Bonus Points

  • You have experience working with MySQL, MongoDB, and ELK;
  • You have worked with global teams in different time zones.
