Senior Back-end Developer - Computer Vision

Sportradar is a global leader in understanding and leveraging the power of sports data for hundreds of business customers around the world, in turn entertaining millions of sports enthusiasts. 

With computer vision becoming one of the core technologies powering sports data collection and products across sports media, sports betting and coaching solutions, we are looking to expand our computer vision engineering team responsible for building Sportradar's cloud-native, low latency computer vision inference pipeline.  

As a back-end developer in our computer vision engineering team, you will work with an experienced team of developers, data engineers and data scientists developing innovative infrastructure solutions for computer vision and data analytics within Sportradar's AI unit. 

The Challenge

• Research, design, development, deployment and day-to-day operation of systems for real-time, low latency computer vision processing hosted in AWS.
• Collaborate and support our team of computer vision researchers with the integration and productisation of computer vision models.
• Actively participate and contribute to computer vision model development projects.
• Optimisation of computer vision models to reduce latency and inference costs in production applications.
• Ideate and present technical architectures, ideas and solutions to fellow engineers in a clear and understandable way, contributing to the evolution of our technology stack powering computer vision and AI workloads as part of a growing team of talented developers, data scientists, data engineers already dedicated to this mission.

Your Profile

• Advanced knowledge of programming in Python with a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience.
• Experience with Java programming.
• DevOps experience (hands-on experience with the design, set-up and administration of build and deployment pipelines and infrastructure)
• Hands-on experience with containers and container orchestration frameworks (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of machine learning / deep learning concepts and some hands on experience with machine learning or computer vision using deep learning frameworks (e.g., Keras, PyTorch, Tensorflow, MXNet).
• Must be comfortable with modern software development methodologies such as agile development, git, CI/CD, code review, etc..
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS/Azure.
• Bonus: Demonstrated experience with productization of CV/ML models.
• Bonus: C++ and GPU programming experience.
• Bonus: Experience with Apache NiFi or Kafka.
• Bonus: Experience with development in Golang.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science / Engineering, Mathematics / Statistics, or related field; equivalent experience acceptable.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Autonomous, rigorous, creative and a team player.
