Senior Director Data Engineering (multiple openings)

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Senior Director Data Engineering will be responsible for serving as a key leader in our company’s data engineering division, managing a team of engineers to execute decision analytics and information delivery initiatives. Duties include:

• Develop a robust talent pipeline. Provide unique opportunities and challenges to each team member to enrich development.
• Build Data Warehouses, ETL processes, reporting, and analytics
• Ensure consistent use of design patterns and best practices necessary for increased access to data and actionable information and implement strategic solutions to sustain these capabilities.
• Participate in the Enterprise Decision Analytics and Insights leadership team.
• Ensure adherence to common Decision Analytics, Data Architecture, and design patterns
• Provide mentorship and train staff on standards and policies around best practices
• Work directly with the business partners to understand review business analytics needs and collaborate with Circle architects on designing and implementing strategic solutions
• Build and develop discipline-specific capabilities across multiple teams, equipping individuals with the skills, tools, and standard approaches to improve the overall quality of engineering practices and skillsets.

This position allows for telecommuting.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or directly related, and five (5) years’ progressive professional experience as a Manager/Director Data Engineering / Data Engineer/ Developer / or closely related.

Must have professional experience with:

1. ETL,
2. SQL,
3. Data Modelling,
4. Reporting Solutions such as OBIEE, Oracle, or Tableau,
5. Data migration,
6. Data engineering,
7. Hadoop, EMR, or redshift.
