What is the project about?

Wholesale Banking Data Management is responsible for designing, driving, and implementing a strategy, model and platform to ensure effective data management. It is structured around primary and foundational capabilities. These capabilities ensure governance implementation, definitions, policies and processes, quality, organizational structure, data architecture & delivery, Esperanto, protection of personal data, security, and sustained awareness addressing the stakeholders' requirements and targets. All of this aligned with our purpose: ‘To embed Data Management in the core, unleash it’s potential and make data matter’

Responsibilities

• Developing, implementing and embedding the data quality framework for WB by adapting the global framework, policies and standards
• Defining requirements and specifications for new data quality controls and dashboards jointly with data users and data owners
• Ensure effective process Data Quality and Issue management & remediation across data domains.
• Addressing complex DQ issues and regulatory findings through stakeholder management
• Participating in strategic data quality initiatives
• Building a culture of data craftmanship and quality improvement
• Drive synergies across the global Data management community and stimulate collaboration to ensure delivery on commitments, without relying on hierarchical structure or formal committees to do so.

The customer is an international financial organisation with their headquarters in Amsterdam. They have other office locations in Amersfoort, Utrecht and abroad. The office in Amsterdam offers job opportunities to nearly 10.000 people from over 50 different nationalities. They are most known for delivering mortgages and loans.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience, preferably in a data (quality) oriented function
• Team leadership and Program management experience
• Experience in WB and/or Risk organization, international will be a plus
• Integral, cross-domain knowledge and experience
• Experience in guiding and realizing regulatory/process changes and translating regulatory requirements into functional designs and/or processes
• Proven strong communication, presentation, networking and influencing skills
• Design Thinking, which enables big-picture view but also the attention to details required for in-depth analyses
• Proven track-record in change and transformation Actively keep up your professional knowledge and translate external trends into applicable knowledge
• You have excellent analytical skills and get energy from translating standards and policies into operating models and executable plans
• You are able to handle multiple projects at the same time involving different stakeholders and focus on achieving results
• You are a naturally collaborative person, who listens and invests in others to achieve common goals and at the same time pushes, where needed, to break through existing routines
• You are a good communicator, fluent in English (written and spoken) with strong stakeholder management skills
