Ever hacked your IOT fridge? Do you read data sheets like others read the news? Do you get a thrill from understanding the guts of microcontrollers? If so, or those sound fun, this is the role for you- come join us! The Machine Learning (ML) SoC Software Team is looking for candidates like you to develop the firmware that controls our custom ML accelerator chips, like those powering TRN1.
As part of the ML SoC software team, you’ll build firmware that controls our accelerator chips, as well as create the firmware-development infrastructure. You'll work closely with our SoC architecture, design-verification, and system-software teams to design, build, deploy, and debug your firmware.
No ML background or prior knowledge is required for this role. You (and your firmware) won’t be doing machine learning- you’re enabling our hardware accelerators to speed up ML programs for AWS’s customers.
This role can be based in either Cupertino, CA or Austin, TX. The team is split between the two sites, with no preference for one over the other.
Key job responsibilities
This is a fast-paced role where you'll work with thought-leaders in multiple technology areas. You'll have high standards for yourself and everyone you work with, and you'll be constantly looking for ways to improve your software, as well as our products' overall performance, quality and cost.
We're changing an industry. We're searching for individuals who are ready for this challenge, who want to reach beyond what is possible today. Come join us and build the future of machine learning!
