We are looking for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to create algorithms and predictive models utilizing Machine Learning to help organize the data to support the StarX platform.
Role Description
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will develop algorithms, datasets and models to predict the performance, salaries, and future prospects of rising soccer stars. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, a passion for soccer, and experience working with soccer-related data.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement machine learning models to analyze soccer player data and predict player performance / outcomes
- Build datasets and develop feature engineering pipelines for player data
- Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to design and execute experiments
- Stay up-to-date with the latest machine learning techniques
- Communicate findings and insights to team and provide recommendations for improving performance and strategy
What You’ll Bring To The Table
- 3+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, with a focus on developing and deploying models
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or Java
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and statistical concepts
- Experience with machine learning frameworks
- Passion for soccer and experience working with soccer-related data
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and creatively
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
Nice To Haves
- Experience with big data technologies
- Familiarity with soccer-specific data sources
- Experience working in a startup environment
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib
- Experience with big data technologies
Salary Range:
$150,000 - $250,000 (DOE)
