Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Data Engineer in Aliso Viejo, CA to serve on the Future Technology Data Engineering team and play a key role for the Future Technology Group (FTG). Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience designing and developing server-side applications for shaping, managing and transforming data on infrastructure. Prior experience must include five (5) years of progressively responsible experience maintaining the MPP database cluster and identify root-causes for issues; maintaining the ELT pipeline in Python; developing new pipelines with streaming frameworks and designing data pipelines for scale, performance, security, and usability; maintaining Vertica clusters, design and plan migration to Snowflake data-warehouse on AWS; architecting, designing, developing, configuring and deploying distributed highly scalable applications using Big Data, ETL, Virtualization and Reporting, and Cloud technologies; utilizing Informatica Power Center, Informatica B2B, IBM Infosphere CDC (IIDR), Oracle SQL, Netezza, Vertica, MicroStrategy, Tidal Enterprise Integration, Python, Hadoop, Kafka, MySQL, PL/SQL, Spark, Kubernetes, HBase, Snowflake, Jenkins, Tableau, Stream Processing, Data Modeling, Automation Testing, Data Analytics, DevOps, and APIs. At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
