The Impact You'll Be Contributing to Moloco:
Global Data Analytics (DA) team is a group of analysts and data scientists whose mission is to help customers (advertisers) succeed by providing the right data products in the right way and at the right time. We provide campaign performance management, growth insights, experimentation, and more to help advertisers improve campaign performance and maximize their business goals with Moloco.

As a Senior Manager / Director of Global DA team, you will: 

  • Build and manage regional DA team leads (across multiple time zones based in Redwood City, London, Singapore, and Seoul) and a team of talented analysts and data scientists.
  • Ensure your team's work directly impacts achieving advertiser success and satisfaction, covering both reactive & proactive needs, via campaign performance management, growth insights, and related analytics.
  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize the global DA team's impact.
  • Collaborate with our primary customers in business (Go-to-Market (GTM) team, Sales, and Growth managers) and other cross-functional leads (Product, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Eng) to better achieve the advertiser success.
  • Be a key thought partner and leader with cross functional partners and leadership in building the best mobile advertising platform in the world.

This role is based in Redwood City, CA.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, or related field.
  • Strong market and customer (advertiser) oriented leadership and experience, as opposed to being mainly a product/eng-oriented analytical leader.
  • 10+ years of work experience (industry or postgraduate) in analytics or data science.
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership-level position of analytics / data science interacting with Biz / client stakeholders.
  • 3+ years experience in people managing analysts & data scientists.
  • 2+ years managing managers.
  • 2+ experience working in AdTech, working with biz (GTM, sales, growth) teams, while interacting with product, data science, ML, or Eng teams.
  • Comfortable managing teams cross-functional and cross-time zones (US, London, and Singapore)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to present information and analysis results effectively to technical and less technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent people skills to build and maintain strong professional relationships within analytics as well as with business stakeholders and clients. 
  • Demonstrated leadership and self-direction. Willingness to both teach others and learn new techniques.
  • Attention to details and ability to drill into high-priority projects and speak to partners and C-levels about it.
  • Distinctive problem-solving skills, good at articulating product / business questions, plan analytics projects themselves or delegate effectively.

Preferred:

  • Masters or PhD degree in a quantitative discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • High-level understanding of statistics fundamentals (linear/logistic regression, hypothesis testing and binomial probabilities) and ML fundamentals (overfitting, supervised and unsupervised learnings, and model evaluation).
  • Comfortable balancing multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritizing work based on business needs. 
  • Ability to seek out new business questions and effectively scope projects to support client growth, reengagement and overall campaign strategy and performance. 
  • Have an interest in data, metrics, analysis, and trends from the mindset of helping a customer-centric business. Strive simple solutions to complex problems.
  • Comfortable with data visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, or Google Sheet.

Our Compensation And Benefits (for California & New York State Residents Only)

Base Compensation Range: Min $214,389 - Max $373,381

In accordance with California & New York state law, the range provided is a reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. We also offer a competitive benefits package.
