Senior Data Scientist

On behalf of our client, an innovative company providing AI services, we are currently looking for a knowledgeable Senior Data Scientist to join its data analytics team.

A day in the life of a ‘Data Scientist’

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will collaborate with a team of data scientists, data- engineers, machine-learning engineers and software engineers with the primary goal to maintain and utilize data assets.

Your day-to-day

• Set a vision and provide day-to-day guidance, supervision, and mentorship for a team of individual contributors
• Provide strategic and technical input for data science roadmap and data architecture
• Focus on the implementation and orchestration for scalable and resilient data engineering pipelines
• Contribute to ML engineering research, design, and implementation of best practices
• Work with ML engineering deployments across the ML lifecycle including model training, monitoring, and retraining
• Actively contribute to source code, perform code reviews and ensure code quality and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years working experience in a similar senior position
• Strong hands-on skills in software engineering (e.g. Python)
• Experience in Machine Learning methodologies (e.g. supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, natural language processing)
• Experience with Spark or similar Big Data Frameworks
• Prior experience using Data Streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark Streaming)
• Strong knowledge of Database Systems and Data Modeling (RDBMS/NoSQL/Time Series)

Great to have

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker and containerization concepts
• Familiarity with an Agile Development Methodology (Scrum)
