We’re looking for an Senior Data Analyst to join our growing Analytics function here at ClearScore. Analytics plays a central role in what we do, from using insights derived from bureau data to help users to improve their credit scores and their finances, to helping our partners to manage credit risk and offer the best products to our users.

ClearScore has an amazing analytical community which includes Data Analysts, Scientists and Engineers. The community works collaboratively to ensure a landscape in which team members can develop their full potential and deliver maximum business impact.

We are growing rapidly, and this creates unparalleled opportunities for progression for high potential candidates with a growth mindset and a desire to grow with the company.

Working within D.One, our Open Banking business unit, you will initially be responsible for all things analytics within our data monetisation team.

What you'll be doing:

  • Owning the delivery of both raw and aggregated data products to our clients
  • Leading on the development of our data insight portal
  • Driving forwards the development of new OB insight products, allowing the widest possible range of clients to find value in our data
  • Working closely with colleages in Commercial, Product and Sales to ensure our analytics delivery roadmap is aligned with client expectations and business needs
  • Mentoring and potentially managing more junior analysts to ensure the quality of all analysis shared both internally and with clients
  • Identifying and valuing business opportunities within your area
  • Using your judgement to spot opportunities to drive the effectiveness of the organisation as a whole

Skills we'd love you to have:

  • You have significant experience in delivering analytical strategies and projects; maybe you have worked for a tech company previously or possibly in lending. Experience of working with Open Banking or other transactional data is a big plus
  • You are excited about the power of data in decisioning and how it can empower stakeholders and clients
  • You enjoy helping non-analysts to put data at the heart of what they do – ensuring your key stakeholders are informed and comfortable having conversations about our data and the products we’re creating
  • Aptitude and passion for statistics/mathematics. The majority of our analysts have good degrees in STEM subjects or Economics; however we are looking for aptitude rather than education
  • You must know SQL and Python, as well as data visualisation and code automation tools. Databricks experience is a plus
  • You do not need to fit into a stereotype: we are really committed to closing our gender gap and are actively trying to create an environment where you, as an individual, can thrive
  • You can synthesise information into clear and logical presentations
  • You want to learn as much as possible
  • A desire to contribute to our culture
